FULL DAY OFF-ROAD WHITE MOUNTAIN TOUR

• If you want to see the most ‘Cretan parts of Crete’ you need to go off the beaten track and head inland to the back of beyond – this off-road safari does just that
• We take you up to a height of 1350m in the White Mountains to a traditional old shepherd’s hut from where the views are specatcular
• En route you’ll see villages that tourists never get to, and experience the best of the wildlife the island has to offer
• We start by collecting you from your hotel somewhere between 08.00 and0 9.00 then begin our trip by crossing a valley full of orange and avocado trees
• Following the foothills of the White Mountains, we make a coffee stop at Deres
• Then we pass through the villages of Vatolakos, Alikianos, Fournes, Meskla, Zourva and Therisso to follow an off road route up to the shepherd’s hut called ‘Mitato’ at 1350m
• Having heard about the traditional shepherd’s life we head to the small village of Therisso for lunch at a small family taverna
• After lunch we return you to your hotel

Next stop will be at Therisso village for a short walk in the historic village and a visit in a small Cretan family tavern for our lunch. Our tour comes to its end by driving you back to your morning pick up place.
