SMALL SHIP CRUISES THAT GET YOU UP-CLOSE TO THE REAL GREECE

EXPLORE GREECE IN THE WAKE OF ODYSSEUS

We Greeks have always been a great seafaring nation – as a country with over 2,000 islands, of which around 170 are inhabited. In total we have 15,000km of coastline. No surprise then that we consider our waters both a super-highway and our home, inhabited by legends and the ghosts of heroes like Odysseus who sailed the seas for 10 years following the battle of Troy. Cruise with us in our small, well-appointed, vessels with no more than 25 cabins and full creature comforts, and we’ll show you legendary places, historic ancient ruins and some wonderful hideaway bays and waterfronts.

SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL

Our small ships are really well suited to the island-hopping life, with the ability moor right up to the main waterfront, right near the tavernas and cafes. Shopboard life is relaxed and friendly. Your cruise price includes breakfast and dinner, and we all eat in one sitting so you quickly get to meet people. They don’t have swimming pools – then again they don’t need one as the Captain simply drops anchor in a secluded bay and we swim from a platform at the back of the vessel. It’s all very friendly and quite delightful.

Antiquity to Byzantium

A culture-vulture’s delight, the itinerary visits a range of historic sites around the Peloponnese. It’s a classical tour de force calling at Mycenae, Epidaurus, Olympia and Delphi, amongst others. Best of all it’s accompanied by an expert Greek history lecturer and all the excursions are included in the price.

Jewels of the Cyclades

The Cyclades are traditionally where most Aegean ‘newbies’ start their cruising experience. It’s a great mixture of the famous and the lesser-known visiting islands such as Santorini, Mykonos and Delos, but also off the beaten track places such as Poliegos, Folegandros, Kythnos and Poros.

Classical Greece

Essentially a clockwise circumnavigation of the Aegean, from Athens in the north to Crete in the south and back via the Peloponnese. En route we visit Mykonos and nearby Delos, Santorini, Knossos, Kithira, Monemvasia, Nafplion and Hydra. It’s a great cruise for those who want to ‘tick the classical boxes’.

Ionian Odyssey

A transit of the famous Corinth Canal takes us from the Saronic Gulf to the Ionian Sea to visit Kefalonia, Paxos, Corfu, Meganisi and Ithaca – home of the legendary King Odysseus whose life Homer so dramatically documented in both the Iliad and the Odyssey, the story of his 10 year voyage back from Troy.
