AFTERNOON AND EVENING TOUR TO TINOS

    • Departing at midday we cruise to Tinos town on the island of the same name – Tinos is three times the size of Mykonos and much quieter, but with many points of religious and cultural interest
    • Our guided tour will show you a continuously changing scenery of landscapes, traditional villagesand views over the Aegean Sea and surrounding islands
    • We visit the most famous and important church in Greece, the Evangellistria, with its famous and wonderful icon and holy atmosphere
    • Keeping in religious vein we then visit the women’s monastery at Kechrovouni, high up in the mountains, inhabited by 40 nuns
    • Driving on, we come to the traditional villageVolax to see the basket makers’ craft
    • Next on the agenda is the ‘Valley of thePigeon Houses’ dating back to Venetian times
    • Our final artistic stop is at Pirgos, famous throughout the Cyclades as a center of marble craftsmen and women
    • We return to Tinos town to catch the boat back to Mykonos, arriving around 22:00

    This tour runs on Tuesdays and Fridays.

    Please note that for the visits to ,the church and monastery there are strict clothing rules: sleeveless shirts and shorts are not permitted. Men must wear long trousers and women must wear skirts or trousers that go below the knee.

FULL DAY JEEP SAFARI

  • We meet at the Yacht Club in the Old Port of Mykonos at 09:30
  • Our tour initially takes us along the coast to Houlakia beach and up to the light house
  • From there we drive through the area of Marathi, past the dam and Panormos beach, to the bay of Agios Sostis
  • Then we head for the area of Ano Mera where we stop on the way at Paleokastro to view the ruins of a Venetian Castle.
  • The area around Ano Mera is rich in agriculture and has an old abandoned mine
  • We make a lunch stop (lunch not included in the price) before continuing along the south coast past Kalafatis and Kalo Livadi, through the green area of Halara
  • Our next stop is at Agrari Beach where we have time for a coffee and a swim
  • Then it’s back to Mykonos town in time to grab the last of the light for a photo stop at the old castle above the city
  • The tour ends at the Old Port at 6pm

 

The organised tour runs on Mondays & Thursdays.

 Don’t forget to take beach equipment, sun protection, water and good shoes.

 For the drivers: Please also take your driving license (to drive you must be older than 22).

HALF DAY ISLAND TOUR

  • We start in the town by walking the small and narrow streets in the morning calm
  • We’ll wander through the labyrinth of the old town along with the small port and churches
  • Naturally we’ll visit the famous windmills and find Petros the Pelican, the mascot of Mykonos.
  • Then we board a coach to visit some of the most famous beaches
  • En route we’ll check out fishermen and kaikis, small private chapels, and houses built in typical Cycladic style.
  • We’ll take a break at the second town of Mykonos, Ano Mera, for a stroll around the traditional square and a visit to the 16th century monastery of Panagia Tourliani
  • Our final visit is Kalafatis beach where there is time to relax and have a coffee or a refreshment before going back to town via a photo-stop with a fantastic views over the town and the neighbouring islands.

FULL DAY SOUTH COAST CRUISE

  • Meeting time from 09:30 at the bus / boat stop at Ornos Beach
  • We cast off around 10:00 and cruise along the South Coast on our traditional Greek Kaiki, passing closely by all the beautiful beaches of the South Coast
  • If weather permits, we cross over to the uninhabited island of Dragonisi with its stunning rock formations full of minerals that create the most amazing colours in the water. With luck we’ll see wild mountain goats and eagles
  • Afterwards we stop at the natural beach of Frangias, where we have time for swimming and snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters before an aperitif on the beach with wine, Ouzo and Greek nibbles
  • Back on board we head for the picturesque bay of Kalafatis where you can relax and enjoy lunch in a beautifully located restaurant right by the sea. Lunch consists of a Greek salad, Tzatziki, bread, oven roast chicken with potatoes or a vegetarian pasta dish, 250ml of wine and water
  • After lunch you have time at leisure to spend on the beach or in the coffee bar by the sea. There is also the opportunity for plenty of water sports activities on Kalafatis beach
  • Back on the Kaiki we continue to Paradise Beach and the Tropicana Bar which has just recently been elected as one of the best beach bars worldwide – or swim some more
  • Finally we cruise back to Ornos via a stop at Plati Yialos Beach with the option to disembark there
  • Or stay on board and get back to Ornos Beach around 18:00
